Notes for Therapy began as a redesign. A focused scope, a defined timeline, a clear brief. But the work has a way of revealing what is actually needed when you are willing to look past the surface request. Weeks into the engagement, it became clear that the founder was not building a product to be improved. She was building something that needed to be believed in. The brief dissolved. A different conversation began.

What followed was more than a year of continuous work. The mobile app was rebuilt from the ground up, not as an interface correction but as an emotional architecture. A design system was constructed from scratch to carry the platform through every future expression it would need. A full brand document and doctrine gave the company a voice it had never had before, calm, precise, and unmistakably rooted in care. Marketing material and campaigns were built to extend that voice into every surface the brand occupied. Nothing was borrowed from what existed before. Everything was earned from the inside out.

Notes for Therapy emerged as something its founder had not fully imagined when she first arrived. A platform with a complete identity, a system designed to carry the weight of what it means to hold space for someone in their most vulnerable moments. Design did not change the product. It revealed the truth behind it.
